    To properly care for African fabrics, especially wax prints (like Ankara), it's crucial to protect the vibrant colors and prevent shrinkage. Hand washing is generally recommended, using cold or lukewarm water and a mild detergent. When machine washing, use a gentle cycle and avoid the spin cycle, ideally washing at 30°C (86°F) or less. Always wash inside out to protect the print, and air dry in the shade to prevent fading from direct sunlight.
